da da da… da da… da!

virtual italian guy stereotype

Wednesday off… Nothing profound about the day except the discovery of P’zones from Pizza Hut. (Imagine a sauceless medium piazza folded over on itself and baked… sorta a Hot Pocketâ„¢ on steroids). Friggin genius. The fact that you can have these delectable little treats delivered to your door? – sheer brilliance.

mojobear returned home from work running in circles demanding we go to Best Buy immediately. Apparently MarioKart has been finally released for the GameCube.

*Mario, a stout Italian plumber and Nintendo’s anchor character, dashes with his buddies around hazard littered, three dimensional courses on little buggies armed with weapons like banana peels and projectile turtle shells.

The game lacks the mindless simplicity of its predecessor on the N64 platform, but it’s fun nonetheless.

The soundtrack is vaguely Mighty-Mighty Bosstones.

We played it for the rest of the night… I kept on noticing and wondering why the fine Japanese folks at Nintendo’s game development devision draw eyes (and smiles) on inanimate objects. It’s overkill in this title. The Sun has a smile… the mountains each have eyes. Road signs have eyes and smiles…

hmmm.. maybe I should draw eyes and smiles into every blog page… wait a second.. I don’t blog.
