the home office…urr.. I mean kitchen.

Have I mentioned I love the PowerBook?

I’m the freak in the family that gets up at the crack of dawn. It’s nice… Quiet… I’ll lounge in my jammys and slug down a pot of coffee and read. Thanks to Apple Computer, I’ve got something else to fill those dewy hours of the early AM.

Broke down and opened one of the (hundreds) of “TRY AOL TODAY” direct mail pieces that have been cluttering my drawer at the office. I figure if Steve Case wants to give me internet access for 45 days for free – then what the hell. Other more pressing projects at the new house take priority over establishing a dedicated link to the web for now. Eventually, mojobear promises the whole house will be wi-fi including some crazy scheme to marry my old G4 tower running iTunes with a Sony Media drive and tie the whole thing into the stereo system at the house.

In the meantime, I’m confined to the kitchen where the only phone jack in the whole house is. This isn’t so bad, it’s kind of nice to peck at the computer and have a coffee maker within arm’s reach. *My figure would suggest that it’s more important to be within arm’s reach of the refrigerator.

Nonetheless – it’s nice to spend the mornings retrieve emails, surf, (and not read blogs).
