Kevin and I stayed home today.
Bette Midler is in town… Chad’s working a double… (Concert events downtown mean crazy business for Hard Rock)… He’s sure to return home exhausted and his little pockets full of cash since the restaurant will be crawling with homosexuals and late-middle-aged women, both notoriously good tippers.
Years working with an architectural photographer has made me really sensitive to light patterns and their relation to the time of day and year.
Since we’re in our first year at the new house, I’m discovering when and where the light comes. It’s kind of stupidly fun.
At 11am in December, the livingroom corner explodes with light…. right where the tree-like, metalic, Christmas tree-symbol thing is.
I took a moment from working on the sofa to bask in the sparklyness of it all.
so… it doesn’t smell like pine – but it sure is pretty in the right lighting situations.
la…. I’m not blogging.
