busy(er) again

The last couple of days have seemed like non-stop meetings.

The primary client has stepped up their marketing efforts now that they’re through their grand opening and I’ve suddenly found myself with a stack of project log sheets on my desk resembling pre-9/11 days.

Of course, this doesn’t mean I’m going run right back out to the Volvo dealer and re-buy my Cross Country. The last two years of tight-times has definitely, and at times painfully, changed my perceptions and priorities.

Nevertheless – its comforting to know I’ll be able to make the house payment next month and hopefully make a decent dent in the one and only revolving credit card (CitiBank) we own, who’s balance has been slowly climbing for close to a year. (Here’s where I endorse and praise the wonders of American Express, who makes you pay your balance every month which really helps keep you out of trouble).

So… Holidays aside… I’m going to be a busy monkey for the rest of the year.

Thanks to the PowerBook, I’ve taken to camping at clients and working some, leaving poor Kevin at the office chained to his tethered G4 tower. (he’s still resisting going laptop – but I’ve not given up the persuasion effort).

Then again – Kev generally loathes dealing with people so the “lure” of being able to go work someplace where there’s,…. (gasp)… “PEOPLE” doesn’t do much for him. (*If you’re a client and he calls you, chances are you haven’t paid your bill). I think the only time he’s not bellyached about working with a client is when chrisglass hires us for the occasional shockwave gig.

I’m sure I won’t get too busy to not-blog.
