So… Somewhere in the throws of this week’s chaos, Kevin finally decided to let me know that his “back pain”, (the assumed result of extra long days in the garden last weekend), was most likely a kidney stone.

He shares my current health coveragelessness – but he was able to self diagnose through research and quizzing doc friends.

Of course, he tried to keep from telling me as long as possible since I was already dealing with mom this past week, and my proclivity toward panic and worry. (*getting a lot better about this though).

He swears it’s getting better and the homeopathic treatments he found online are working. (drinking gallons of water per day, cranberry juice and a tea made from watermelon seeds).

Kevin also assures that though he hates doctors, he knows enough to watch for watch for the bad signs and will alert us if he needs formal medical attention. (Thankfully thanks to his stint in the first Middle-East debacle – he can get treatment at the VA Hospital).

We’ll be taking it easy this weekend and I’ll be trying not to get too frustrated with it all…
