One of the real estate guys at work drives one of those new Toyota Hybrids.

I really haven’t paid much attention to them, aside from pausing to think they look sorta like a futuristic dutch clog.

It was the other day though that the car’s owner and us were leaving at the same time… We exchanged the typical “have a good evening” – and then the Prius driver jumped in, closed the door. We heard a “click” and then a whir and in silence the car scooted off.

Kevin and I hadn’t made it into our own car before trading shocked glances over the roof of our own car, giggling and exclaiming almost in unison: “oh wow – now THAT was cool.”

That’s all really… It was just a funny freak-out moment since I’d never heard, (or more like “not heard”) a hybrid car take off before.
