What a terrific weekend… I’ve got a few sticks worth of pics to catch up editing and gather my thoughts on… All of which would require more time than I have right now….

However – I can quickly post about what started the long weekend: Chinese Delivery.

A new joint opened in the hood and sent out flyers so we gave them a try.

It was your standard “delivery-grade” Amerineese… competent… but not brilliant… well.. except for the St. Paul Sandwiches on the menu…

I’d seen them before on menus throughout town and dismissed them as a standard, if not a little odd, item..

I wouldn’t find out until very recently that these things are apparently a St. Louis exclusive …. (*gasp*) – One I’d never tried before?!?!?

Something to add to the menu of toasted ravioli, gooey-butter-cake, STL-style pizza, (melted plastic on a cracker as some call it) and slingers!?!

We ordered two of them.

A St. Paul Sandwich can be read as “Egg Foo Yung Sandwich”, typically dressed with lettuce, tomato and mayo.
