Recovered from the camera-scam close call and then learned that the Nikon D200 is apparently precious moon crack or something… As soon as they hit stores – they’re GONE… You can’t find one… like ANYWHERE… (like on the planet)…. This reassures me about my choice… but it’s frustrating to be one of the crazed masses frantically searching for one.

I’d sit back and relax some – but work is sending me back to the Caymans to shoot on Feb 5th…. and I’d like the new rig for that.

Meanwhile – the Sony’s hot shoe is still malfunctioning…. and has been sent back to Best Buy for them to return to me two weeks later and tell me nothings wrong. (*grumble*)

This isn’t tragic… 95% of what I’ll be shooting will be outside on the deck of a boat…. but it’d be nice to have the damn hot shoe working for that remaining 5%.

Guess we’ll just have to see… Best Buy told me to check their site randomly / daily… when they get more – it’ll probably be available via the web store before in local stores.

Meanwhile I’m back to the confines of my phone camera and looking for a gimmick to tie journal entries together.
