better than any cubicle
I’m REALLLY starting to like this non committal work location thing.
After being up till 2am working with Suzy on the CD packaging – I was really in no mood to get dressed in the morning and schlep into the city with Babybear.
Kevin didn’t mind going in, (and he’s not on laptop….. yet…) – so he and Chad took off leaving me to work in the living room.
I stayed in my jammy shorts all day… didn’t bathe… didn’t even brush my teeth!!! It felt great in a bum sorta way.
On the days I stay home I seem to get a lot more done… I assume it has something to do with a “descending list of procrastination”.
For example – If I stay home and intently focus on work, I’m “procrastinating” loading the dish washer and doing another load of laundry, etc… Thus – I focus all that much harder on work.
If I go to work – I’ve got nothing to do BUT work.. so I’ll wind up intently focusing on something else – like “not-reading” LiveJournals.
Personal Hair-Image Manager and friend Danny, of previous non-blog mention, came by for another training installment on his new iBook. I keep him in technical support and training and he keeps me from ever having another inarticulate bathtub clipper cut. Today’s lesson: “how to hook your digital camera to your computer and use iPhoto”. We scampered around the house snapping photos of one another, the cats and dirty socks on the floor in order to have something to import.
The sun’s going down so early now… By five o’clock I had a fire started, all the lights off in the house and watched the fading light outside from my makeshift coffee table desk. It was comforting.
If only I had dinner in the oven awaiting the return of Kevin and Chad would the cliche been complete.
To blog about it would be a form of procrastination – so I didn’t.
