Spent the entire day with a client reinventing the wheel. I chronically have trouble detaching from work.
I’ll live longer if I can:
A: Embrace a more-soulless, mercenary attitude toward my work.
B: Leave the arena of advertising and find something more meaningful.
C: Seek out accounts that don’t tax my last nerve.
D: All of the above.
I must just be getting edgy because our trip is right around the corner… and we haven’t had a vacation this year. A long weekend in Cincinnati, though wonderful, wasn’t enough for me to unplug my head and relax.
I returned home to find the guys busily sewing and assembling our costumes for The Woods. (Kevin’s sister’s halloween bash and the first stop on our upcoming trip).
Kevin’s diverse skill-sets never cease to amaze me. He hand-sewed cloaks from the old drapes we ripped off of the walls from the previous owners of the house.
The dining room table was littered with all sorts of things… twine… scraps of fabric… foam tubes… pantyhose.
I grabbed the pantyhose, chad and my camera and declared a little “me-art” time.
I’m sure shrinks would say this is merely manifesting my feelings through craft.
I’m sure ya’ll think I’m blogging too.
