Tillman came by with a bag full of Qdoba, (read as monkey-bait)… I always fall for it – and before the cilantro taste was out of my mouth I was laying out invites and schwag for one of her friend’s baby-showers.

Lots else happened – which I’ll catch up on in the next day or so..

Still acquainting myself with the Yapper-Cam… and digging the relinquishment of so much control.

Still not blogging.

trivial pillows

Yesterday was my wednesday off. I tried as hard as possible to replicated the lifestyle of our cats.

In still trying to catch up from nic-fitting induced blog-silence – I should probably mention the nice time we had the other night when Steve and Leah came over.

It seems we swear every year to see each-other every month but it always winds up more being “once a financial quarter”.

Gifts from this last Christmas provided entertainment: The 90’s Edition of Trivial Pursuit and finding alternative uses for the Cushâ„¢ pillows Kevin’s mom gave us.

Grand opening shin-dig for a client tonight… can’t blog – gotta find clothes that don’t look so much like pajamas.

Yesterday was an even paced day, one of those where unexpected interruptions are welcome.

Leah and Steven called – they were down the street at the Sam’s Club and wanted to know if they could pop in so long as I didn’t chastise them for spending their money at a Wal-Mart store. I promised and they popped over for a while.

Earlier while pecking at some work type stuff I heard the unmistakable roar of a Harley pull up… It was Andy and Lil’AnD out for a weekend ride.

Baby got home early so we decided to run out to the store and pick up some steaks for the grill while Kev took it easy on the sofa and crashed vehicles with .

The weather is mellowing… Dinner spilled over to outside and the decision to have the first fire of the season….. Not on Sunday… And a week or two earlier than normal – but it all felt familiar

I suppose if I blogged I’d see patterns emerging.

The weekend went by pretty fast. Chad worked a 12-hour supervisor shift on Saturday leaving Kevin and I to work on tax stuff and laundry.

Saturday night we went over to Leah and Dr. Steve’s for his birthday. He’s now officially older than me… (at least for three months). His brother flew in from Chicago to hang out as well.

Kev took some of the money he’s been earning on the side and hit the used game store:

• Tetris Worlds: fun with a zippy soundtrack… we think the game might be botched… it freezes unpredictably when playing two player / split screen. It supports Xbox live and has a “Lounge Mode” where apparently you can connect with folks for low-pressure play and shootin the schmidt on the com line.
• Castle Wolfenstein: I’ve rented this before and liked it.
• The latest Splinter Cell thingie: not my bag – but Kev’s.
• Some manic game called Whacked.

Monday morning – My heads buzzing with stuff I want/need to do this week… The least of these things of course is blog.
